Mark Teixeira’s woeful slump has reached the double-digit mark. It’s 10 games into the season, and he’s been atrocious.
The $180 million first baseman went 0-for-3 in the Yankees’ rain-shortened 5-1 win over the Rangers last night, dropping his batting average to an abysmal .083. He’s 3-for-36 with 10 strikeouts and no home runs.
“The competitor in you, you never accept failure. You never like not getting hits. But at the same time, I stick with my plan and I know that it’s all about the team,” Teixeira said. “And we’re 7-3 right now. The team’s doing great.”… Click here to read on
